When in the sun, it is important to keep your exposure to a minimum. We recommend that you regularly take breaks by going into the shade or covering up, and that you use a minimum of SPF15 lotion or spray.
You should reapply your sun protection lotion or spray regularly, and during the hottest part of the day (11am-3pm) it is important that you spend some time in the shade.
It is also important that you drink plenty of water, as you will dehydrate in the heat.
A sun tan is an indicator that your skin has been damaged - so its best to minimise this damage by building up your tan gradually by applying high protection lotion or spray and not over exposing your skin to the sun.
Sun burn will mean that your skin is likely to peel - if you do get sun burn an aftersun is the best way to cool and soothe your skin, and rehydrate it.
Remember - sun tanning damages your skin, but if you do want a tan:
