Gone are the days when a little dab of concealer, foundation, powder and some lipstick was all you needed for that finished make up look….now the whole craze brought in by the celebs is contouring – sculpting and highlighting your facial features.
I have to admit I am new to the whole contouring and have watched many tutorials online and am still learning the techniques. When I was given the Collection Contour and Highlighting kit I was excited to try to create a highlighted and sculpted look!
Firstly it comes in a lovely compact case with a mirror and therefore handy to take anywhere for those much needed touch ups. It also comes with easy to follow instructions on the back of the compact case, which is great.
To begin I applied my foundation and then using the Real Techniques stippling brush I started to apply and blend the contour powder in the kit onto the hollows of my cheekbones, my nose and jawline. I then highlighted the areas under my eyes, forehead and chin using the light highlighting powder.
As a first time user of this kit I was impressed with how the powder applied and blended and I do feel it left me with a beautifully sculpted, flawless look. To finish off my look I focused on my eyes using a Smokey eye kit from Collection.
This Collection Contour kit is perfect for those girls new to contouring as at only £4.19 it certainly is a bargain worth trying and you will be impressed with the results. It definitely is a kit that should be part of any ladies party essentials this upcoming festive season!!
