Does new Vichy TEINT Ideal Illuminating Foundation do what it claims?

The New TEINT Ideal Illuminating Foundation from Vichy has us excited. For several weeks now we've seen advertising features and promotional material from Vichy. Working in an office all day (with air con, and a need to look our best), if it did what it claims it would be a wonderful addition to our make up routines.

Vichy Teint Ideal Illuminating Fluid Foundation claims to conceal imperfection perfectly, and illuminate your skin, with it's own natural radiance. It also claims to improve the appearance of your skin’s overall quality.

"Enjoy an ultra-natural looking, flawless finish that reflects your true beauty and ideal skin."

We wanted to put it to the test, because it's not often that we come across a foundation that is hard-wearing, great at covering up imperfections, looks really radiant AND is kind to your skin!

Vichy Teint Ideal - our Review

It's from Vichy, who specialise in developing products that are kind to skin - and in particular - sensitive or easily irritated skin. We wanted to find out if it could achieve this and - at the same time - give us a coverage that left us feeling confident. So, we gave it to three members of staff to trial for themselves.

All three take good care of their skin, and have a keen interest in make up. There were no better people to trial TEINT Ideal in our opinion - here's what they thought of it!

Charlotte's Review:

If you’re anything like myself, as the seasons shift from ‘wintertime chill’ to those hot picnic days, your make up and (perhaps most importantly) your foundation transforms along with them.

I’m not going to lie… when first asked to review the new Vichy Tient Ideal Illuminating Foundation I was a little sceptical to say the least.

Being a fan of a heavy foundation, if I could have a foundation in cement form I would be all over it! I have quite an uneven skin tone, and it’s essential that I have maximum coverage at all times - the more layers the better! Therefore I would have a tendency to avoid anything that is light on the skin, as this inevitably highlights my blemishes.

With a foundation from Vichy – who specialise in creating products for sensitive skin – I was concerned that it wouldn’t meet my own needs.

So when opening my Vichy Tient Ideal Illuminating Foundation I was intrigued by the promise of attaining my “ideal complexion”; to my surprise it definitely did not disappoint!

New Vichy Ideal Teint Illuminating Foundation

Firstly, when applying the foundation it had a lovely soft smell to it, and my skin felt instantly hydrated. I have quite dry skin, and was pleased to find that it had a particularly moisturising texture – I would definitely recommend it to women with sensitive skin types.

I found that it nourished my natural complexion, leaving me with a dewy glow that was perfect for everyday wear. And it remained in place throughout the day - sometimes I'll need to reapply my make-up in the early afternoon.

Vichy’s formula is good for concealing any imperfections and it left a smooth, silky tone to my skin - say goodbye to open pores and tired under-eyes! I was amazed at how it revitalised my skin tone - it left it feeling fresh but without the matt texture.

With its luminous glow it instantly left me with a radiant complexion. It alleviated my redness and imperfections, yet it felt so light and healthy.

That’s what is so unique for me about this product: I felt confident, I didn’t need as many layers – It achieved the mask effect that I desire, without the greasiness. Ultimately it smoothes, flatters and conceals for that photoshopped finish (even if I do say so myself!). Definitely a keeper in my make up bag!

Stephanie's Review:

When I was asked to try out the new Vichy Teint Ideal Fluid Foundation, I have to say I was excited! There has been lots of talk of this new product for a few weeks now in work, and so when I was presented with it to try I was keen to experiment.

I currently use Vichy facial products and have been keen to introduce Vichy makeups into my skin regime.

As a bride-to-be, my skincare regime is important to me. In an attempt to get a flawless look, I have been using the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Cream, Vichy Aqualia Rich Day Cream, Vichy Aqualia Thermal Eye Roll-On and Vichy Aqualia Serum. I work in an office all day and the dry air certainly plays havoc with my skin; using these facial products has greatly improved my skin and it's in a better condition now that I'm ensuring to use Vichy products in my daily skincare routine.

Vichy Skincare Range

I have been using the Vichy Teint Ideal Illuminating Foundation for less than a week, and I'm amazed at the quality of this product. It provides a flawless finish whilst moisturising the skin (it has spa water listed in the ingredients). The foundation feels light on your face and is great at covering blemishes; it really reveals your ideal skin tone.

I experimented with the foundation and I found that by using the Vichy Aqualia Serum as a primer, the foundation was easy to apply and provided a flawless look. Teaming this up with a bronzer and blusher, and concentrating on my eyes, it provided a great going-out look. The foundation could also be toned down to suit everyday wear, whilst still providing ample coverage (I've been wearing it in work as well as at the weekends!).

An important skincare regime is priceless, and when a really good-quality make-up is included, this could well be an ideal combination! It might seem to be a bit more expensive than other foundations I would usually look at, but I will definitely be sticking with this!

It lasts a lot longer than any other foundation I've tried; I didn't need to put a lot on and so the bottle lasts a lot longer. And my skin feels a lot better for me using it! And the positive comments I have received about my appearance have made me to make the decision to change to this new foundation - I'll be using this from now on!

Orlagh's Review:

Now what’s not to love about a Friday?!

Last Friday had the usual excitement - coming into work, knowing that it’s only a few hours left until the weekend. To my absolute delight there was a nice little present left on my desk! At first I didn’t think it was for me, but was super excited when I found out that I'd a Vichy Teint Ideal Illuminating Foundation set to take home and trial!

I was aware of this new range that has been launched by Vichy, as there has been quite some hype about it in the office. I thought it best to try the foundation for a while before forming any judgements, as it can be hard to tell how good a foundation really is after one application.

I have a very pale complexion, and thanks to all the central heating over the winter months my skin has become quite dry and dehydrated. Now that we are coming into the ‘slightly’ better weather, my skin does need a wee bit of TLC.

I couldn’t have found a better foundation to suit my skins needs than the Vichy Teint Ideal Illuminating Fluid Foundation. I found it really refreshing on my skin, and after using for a week I can notice a slight improvement to my skin. My skin looks more radiant and nourished, which is definitely a plus as my sensitive skin is easily irritated when using some other products.

This liquid foundation (I was trialling the Illuminating Foundation Fluid) is quite light, and gave my skin a healthy glow with a natural looking coverage. This is perfect for everyday use as I feel like my skin can actually breathe, yet still hides my skins imperfections. I found that 1-2 pumps of the foundation was more than enough to achieve a flawless finish with good coverage.

It might seem a little pricey at £19.50, but in my opinion it is definitely worth every penny. I have never been complemented by so many people on how lovely my make-up was, it definitely boosts the feel good factor! This is a product that will definitely remain as an essential in my make-up bag.
